Maring bodies decry killing

Imphal, July 06 2013 : Maring Uparap Assembly (MUA), an apex body of Maring tribe, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of DK James Maring alias Moshilpha Maring s/o late DK Koin of Laiching Minou village, Chandel district on July 3 at a spot in between in Khangshim and L Minou.

In a statement, President of MUA Th Angdun said that this kind of barbaric action should not be tolerated in this century and the culprits should be punished as per the law of the land at the earliest.

Maring Students' Union has also strongly condemned the brutal murder of DK James and called upon the authorities concerned for taking up necessary action against the culprits at the earliest possible.

The student body also announced its decision of extending full co-operation to the agitations being launched by the JAC.

The two Maring bodies have also conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family members.
