Imphal, June 05 2022: The Extrajudicial Execution Victim Families' Association, Manipur (EEVFAM) has welcomed the ruling of Judicial Magistrate First Class Imphal West which directs the SIT/CBI to conduct further investigation on the 'extrajudicial killing' of seven persons on the intervening night of October 31 and November 1, 2009 at Andro Sanapat by the personnel of 28 Assam Rifles.

According to a statement issued by EEVFAM, the seven persons that were killed are Oinam Anand, Oinam Pakpa, alias Maipaksana, Laishram Bocha, Chingangbom Gogo, Sinam Ratankumar, Thangpao Kipgen and one unidentified person.

EEVFAM said that the killing of seven persons at Andro Sanapat is one of the 39 incidents being investigated by the CBI out of the 1528 cases submitted to the Supreme Court by the association and HRA.
