Imphal, February 04 2025: The Department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Services, Manipur organized a one-day training on "Biomedical Waste Segregation, Management & Disposal" at the Farmers' Training Centre, Vety Complex, Sanjenthong today.

According to a press release, the training was chaired by issued by RK Khogendrajit, Director, Vety & AH Services.

During the event, Arju Oinam, Technical Supervisor (Incinerator Plant) at JNIMS, Porompat delivered a lecture emphasizing the objectives of biomedical waste management, the importance of waste segregation at source, the consequences of improper waste management in hospitals, and the classification and disposal of biomedical waste to the officers and officials of the State Veterinary Hospital and Disease Investigation Laboratory, Sanjenthong.
