Be a true teacher, says ADC Sadar Hills Chairman

Kangpokpi, June 03 2019: "Don't work only for salary, be a true teacher who work for the betterment of society through their profession", ADC Sadar Hills Chairman Haokholal Hangshing urged all the in-service teachers under Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi while speaking at the inaugural function of a six days refresher course cum teachers training of in-service teachers under SHADC Kangpokpi today at Multipurpose Hall, SHADC, Kangpokpi.

The ADC Sadar Hills Chairman who attended the function as chief guest inaugurated the refresher course cum teachers training programme in the presence of Thangjakam Misao, Vice Chairman ADC Sadar Hills; Dama Vaiphei, Executive Member; Lunkhohen Haokip, Executive Member and T Manihar Singh, MCS, Chief Executive Officer, SHADC Kangpokpi.

Stressing on the importance of roles of teachers in shaping the future of children, ADC Sadar Hills Chairman said that teachers needs to be updated with the latest educational technology in order to provide the best communication, understanding and knowledge to the children.

He continued that the refresher course cum teachers training programme has been organized with an aim to don all teachers under SHADC Kangpokpi with latest educational technology.

T Manihar Singh, MCS, Chief Executive Officer, SHADC Kangpokpi said that the refresher course cum teachers training programme of in-service teachers under SHADC Kangpokpi will culminate on June 11 while adding that 200 teachers will participate each day in the training.

He also said that in order to streamline the functioning of Government schools under SHADC Kangpokpi, teachers will be strictly monitored and checked in their teaching as well as their manners.

Chinnu Kipgen, Inspector of Schools, SHADC Kangpokpi and Thangjalal Touthang, Deputy Inspector (HQ-I) will monitor the training programme as Supervisor and Co-ordinator respectively.

The resource persons of the training programme are Kiranbala Devi, MSc, MEd, Lecturer DIET, Imphal East; Th Premila Devi, MSc, MEd, Lecturer DIET Senapati; P Suhela Devi, MSc MEd, PGPEPA, Lecturer, DIET Imphal West; A Sharmila Devi, MA, MEd Lecturer, DIET Imphal West and L Sweety, Principal, Shemrock Prime, Uripok Imphal.

T Manihar Singh, MCS, Chief Executive Officer, SHADC Kangpokpi expressed sincere gratitude to the Director, SCERT, Govt of Manipur for deputing experience and well acclaimed Lecturer as resource persons for the refresher course cum teachers training programme.
