JAC claims body of Sunder after assurance

The mortal remains of Soram Sunder (30) alias Nanao has been claimed by JAC formed against the death of the deceased person after Chief Minister N Biren Singh gave assurance to the JAC in a meeting held at the office chamber of CM yesterday while a memorandum copy was also submitted to the CM by the JAC.
Late Soram Sunder was a native of Thoubal Wangkhem Huidrom Leikai and was running a scooter workshop at Moreh after shifting there along with wife Asha from Phouden Keiram and his small daughter five years ago.
He reportedly ran the workshop with the help of his brother-in-law Suresh (28).According to the family members of the deceased person, they were informed by the relatives of his wife that Soram Sunder died at Moreh hospital due to some illness on April 30 and they immediately rushed to Moreh and took the body back home to perform the last rites, but they got suspicious after they found numbers of wound marks on the death body.
Thereafter, they immediately informed the police for proper investigation that led to the death of Sunder following which the body has been kept at JNIMS morgue since then, they added.
On the same day, Yairipok police took his wife Asha into custody, who on questioning, revealed that Suresh died after her brother (Suresh) beat him repeatedly, informed the family members of Suresh.
Following which, the police arrested Suresh on May 1 in the morning.
The memorandum that was submitted yesterday urged the CM to book all the culprits involved other than the wife and brother-in-law of late Sunder within 48 hrs.
It also drew the attention of the CM about the two small daughters of late Sunder for providing proper guidance and other assistance so that they can receive proper education.
Meanwhile, a public meeting was held yesterday in the afternoon at Yairipok Wangkhem ground which was attended by large numbers of villagers from Wangkhem, Huidrom Leikai and Poirou Khongjil and resolved for the early arrest of the all the persons involved in the death of Sunder.
