Birth centenary of Khaidem Pramodini observed

Imphal, January 03 2025: Naharol Sahitya Premee Samiti Imphal on Friday observed the centenary birth anniversary of renowned writer Khaidem Pramodini at Manipur Press Club, Imphal.

It was attended by Keithellakpam Dinamani, Director, Art & Culture and Naoroibam Indramani, president of Naharol Sahitya Premee Samiti Imphal as the chief guest & president respectively.

During the event, Keithellakpam Dinamani spoke on the literary works and the life of Khaidem Pramodini.

Dinamani asserted that in her long, sparkling career as a writer, Khaidem Pramodini wrote and published more than 32 works of different genres.

"The noted woman writer of rare calibre was honoured with the Sahitya Bhusan award by the Manipur Sahitya Parishad in 1994 and the Writer Of The Year Award in 2002", he added.

The release of a journal titled "Wakhal" and recitation of poems & stories written by Khaidem Pramodini were the main highlights of the event.
