Indian Army joins Ningol Chakkouba celebrations

Bishnupur, November 02 2024: In its ongoing efforts to foster community engagement and unity, the Indian Army celebrated the traditional Ningol Chakkouba festival with local community at the Internally Displaced People (IDP) Relief Camp, Ex-Servicemen Bhavan Okshongbung in Bishnupur.

The event was attended by over 70 women, offering a cordial celebration of Manipuri heritage alongside Indian Army personnel.

Ningol Chakkouba is an important cultural festival in Manipur that celebrates familial bonds, symbolizing love, respect, and unity.

The celebration underscores the importance of family ties and community solidarity within Manipuri society.

In keeping with the spirit of the festival, the Indian Army organized a series of events, including games and interactive sessions along with a traditional meal for the women.
