Minister Nemcha distributes financial assistance

Kangpokpi, March 02 2024:
Textiles, commerce and industries minister Nemcha Kipgen distributed financial assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) sheltered at the pre-fabricated houses in Keithelmanbi Military Colony, Champhai sub-division, Kangpokpi district.
The financial assistance distributed by the minister was the 'Third One-Time Assistance' of the government for clothing and personal belongings for people living in relief camps.
The distribution function was also attended by SDO Champhai, Len Singsit and other department officials.
Nemcha handed over an aid of Rs 1000 each to 262 inmates putting up at the pre-fabricated houses in Keithelmanbi Military Colony.
Speaking on the occasion, Nemcha Kipgen expressed delight that the IDPs are staying in pre-fabricated houses where they could have privacy now.
While conveying her heartiest gratitude to the union home minister Amit Shah for his concern, the minister also expressed her.
appreciation to the centre for the tireless and benevolent efforts for the well-being of all residents of relief camps.
She also exhorted the IDPs not to simply stay in the relief camp but use their talent and skills for sustenance of livelihood by availing benefits of the various schemes launched by the government.
Nemcha also encouraged the IDPs not to lose hope and assured them that a day would definitely come for return to their respective villages and live a normal life, while motivating them to be strong in prayer and extend a helping hand to one another.
