World Wetlands Day held, floating school inaugurated

Bishnupur, February 02 2017: World Wetlands Day was observed at Loktak Lagolshabi Leikai, Champu Khangpok village today alongside an inauguration function of a floating school.

The school was handed over to the local people by DIPR Director Meghachandra Kongbam.

On the other, Utrapat Fishing Cum Pisicculture Co-operative Society has organised a one day workshop at Ema Panthoibi Shanglen, Nambol Naorem as part of the World Wetlands Day.

The programme was sponsored by ENVIS Centre of Directorate of Environment with environment activist Dr Kh Shamungou and Councillors of Nambol Municipal Council Kh SSUndari Devi and N Mohen Singh as presidium members.
