Free Eye Camp organised

S Tomba & Sons (Pengba Farm), Hiyangthang successfully conducted a Free Eye Camp at Hiyangthang Bazaar on Sunday.
The Eye Camp was conducted in collaboration with Target Optical Group Imphal.
About 103 persons from Hiyangthang and surrounding areas were examined for eye related problems during the camp.
Spectacles were also provided to the patients at subsidized rates.
Speaking on the occasion, Soibam Surchandra, managing director of S Tomba & Sons (Pengba Farm), said that eyes are one of the most important organs of the human body and it is important that proper care is taken.
He also expressed concern over the increasing cases of eye related problems among the people especially youths due to excessive screen time and lifestyle changes.
He shared that the Free Eye Camp was organised with the profits from the "Pengba Sale" conducted by S Tomba & Sons at Hiyangthang Pengba Farm in connection with this year's Ningol Chakkouba festival.
He also asserted that the camp will continue on Monday to facilitate the people who were unable to attend the eye camp today.
Furthermore, Surchandra announced that S Tomba & Sons will make necessary arrangements to organise similar camps at Kodompokpi and Ningombam soon.
