Lack of neccesities in schools enumerated

L Bilaksh Meitei, president DESAM, District Council Jiribam has revealed that schools in Jiribam district from primary to higher secondary level are filled with a lack of resources.
The statement was made during a press conference held at AMSU Jiribam District Committee Office jointly organised by AMSU, MSF, DESAM and KSA.
L Bilaksh Meitei stated that student organisations will urge relevant authorities to take up appropriate action against irresponsible absentee teachers.
Enumerating shortages of various nature, L Bilaksh shared that Govt schools are suffering from a lack of adequate teachers, prominent among which is a lack of Meitei Mayek teachers.
He also mentioned a shortage of desks and benches and appealed for prompt inauguration of Netaji High School.
He urged the State authorities to repair Jiri-Tipaimukh Road in the interest of teachers, students and public as well.
A meeting with Th Amurashi Chanu, ZEO has also resulted in positive assurances about solving the issue, he maintained.
The press briefing was also attended by representatives of aforementioned student bodies.
