Imphal, July 31 2016: Congress MLA RK Anand has said that black topping works on the roads of his Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Con- stituency will begin soon after rainy season.

He said that these works would be taken up on all the roads which can be covered by PMGSY.

The MLA today inspected the conditions of seven roads which are to be revamped under PMGSY Phase-IX and X. He was accompanied by Manipur State Rural Roads De- velopment Agency (MSRRDA) Executive Engineer L Brojendro and other officials.

The MLA said that he would include the remaining roads in PMGSY Phase-11. Saying that construction of these roads had been delayed due to early onset of rainy season, the MLA asked the con- tractors to complete construction works soon after the rainy season.

Stating that the roads which are not covered by PMGSY would be revamped with State funds, RK Anand urged the public to constantly check whether quality is maintained or not.
