Army distributes sewing machines to villagers

Imphal, February 28 2018: Jwalamukhi Battalion distributed five sewing machines with complete set at Lairouching (Jwalamukhi) village ofKangpokpi district on February 26 and Maram Battalion gifted three sewing machines to the Women Society of village Oklong on February 25, conveyed PIB Defence in a press release.

The sewing machines were presented as part of Military Civic Action programme under 'Operation Sadbhavana'.

The villagers lauded the effort of Assam Rifles and thanked the Battalions.

On the other hand, Jwalamukhi Battalion distributed solar lamps to Tolthang village of Kangpokpi district on February 26.A total of 25 solar lamps were distributed to the villagers, who lauded the effort of Assam Rifles and thanked the Jwalamukhi Battalion, it said.
