Swachhta Pakhwada celebration concludes at Thoubal

Thoubal, December 31 2018: A 15 days Swachhta Pakhwada celebration at Thoubal district organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Thoubal under the supervision of Agriculture Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI) ICAR Research Complex, Umiam Meghalaya was successfully concluded today.

During a press meet held at the office of KVK Thoubal, Khangabok, as part of the closing function, SMS (Agronomy) KVK Thoubal, N Tomba said that plantation of trees sapling, cleanliness drive, sanitation and sewage management, stock taking of waste management, awareness on recycling and harvesting, workshop, exhibition, inspection at the community waste disposal site and Kishan Diwas celebration were organised among others during the celebration which began from December 16.He also lauded the local farmers for participating and extending their helping hands to make the celebration a grand success.

The meeting was also attended by KVK Thoubal SMS (PBG), S Sumangal, SMS (Home Science) RK Lembisana, farm manager W Jiten Singh and KVK Thoubal staff.
