Churachandpur police rescued 14 human trafficking victims and arrested 9 individuals in connection with human trafficking this year.
According to the official record, Churachandpur district police along with Anti Human Trafficking Unit and women police station, Churachandpur were able to rescue three minor girls while they were being transported from the district to the Indo-Myanmar border in the month of September.
Four accused, including two women were also arrested in connection with the case.
As follow up action, five more individuals involved in human trafficking were arrested by the district police and 10 more minor girls were rescued from Myan-mar and handed over to their respective families.
Churachandpur district police managed to arrest 37 UG cadres along with the recovery of 26 weapons, including 21 long range weapons, 15 small arms, 28 detonators and 9 gelatin sticks.
Two individuals were also detained under the National Security Act.
The district police were also able to recover 16 stolen vehicles from different parts of the district during the year.
Churachandpur district police seized drug items worth more than Rs 30 lakh including 313.50 grams of heroin powder, 20.208 kgs of opium, 5998 numbers of WY tablets and 2007 numbers of SP capsules.
The district police also issued challans to 1074 vehicles for traffic rule violation and collected a fine or Rs 1,55,100 .
