Imphal, October 30 2022: Lukanand Kshetrimayum, a 20 year-old lad from Manipur and representing India has bagged the 1st runner-up title of the 14th Mister International.

He also won a special award-Mister Derma World International.

Lukanand represented India at the finale of male beauty pageant held at New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines, today.

Altogether thirty-five contestants from around the world competed for the coveted international title.

The title of Mr International went to Dominican Republic's Manuel Franco.

While Lukanand was adjudged the 1st runner-up title, Venezuela's Orangel de Jesus Dirinot Guanipa won the second runner-up title.

The 3rd, 4th and 5th runner-up titles were given to Jason Li Kwai Chiu (Hong Kong), Myron Jude "MJ" Ordillano (Philippines) and Juan Pablo Colias Gonzalez (Spain) respectively.

The next edition of the male beauty pageant will be hosted by Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Lukanand was awarded the Mister International India title by one of the leading and powerhouse talent promoting organizations Mega Entertainment, which holds the exclusive rights of sending Indian candidates to Mister International.

Not only in modelling, Lukanand has also excelled in the art of film making as a producer and director and had received a number of awards.

He started making films from a tender age.

Inquirer.net reports from Manila that Manuel Franco from the Dominican Republic was proclaimed Mister International besting 34 other delegates from all over the world to become the first representative from the Dominican Republic to receive the title.

This year's presentation was mounted three years after the competition's 13th instalment, technically its 2018 edition, was staged in February 2019, also in the Philippines.

Trinh Van Bao bested 38 other international delegates that year, making him the second winner from Vietnam.

Settling for the first runner-up spot in this year's edition was Lukanand Kshetrimayum from India, while Orangel de Jesus Dirinot Guanipa from Venezuela was the second runner-up.

Jason Li Kwai Chiu from Hong Kong and Myron Jude Ordillano from the Philippines were third and fourth runners-up respectively.

Juan Pablo Colias Gonzalez from Spain rounded up the winners' circle as the fifth runner-up.

The 16-year-old international male pageant was established in 2006 in Singapore by the late Alan Sim, whose passing this month was commemorated during the final competition.

Hunk cop Mariano Flormata Jr., more popularly known as Neil Perez, was the first Filipino winner of the Mister International pageant.

He won the title in the 2014 competition staged in Seoul, South Korea, besting 28 other contenders.

The international organization had earlier announced that the pageant's 15th edition will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam, on Aug 1, 2023 .
