Railway projects will complete by mid 2023, says RP Danve

Imphal, August 30 2021:
Union Minister of State for Railway Raosaheb Patil Danve on Monday inspected railway tunnel drilling work at Tunnel number 12 at Sangaithel village, Imphal West.
Sangaithel is located around 20 km from State Capital Imphal in the adjoining area of Imphal West and Kangpokpi district.
The inspection drive was also accompanied by officials from Northeast Frontier Railway.
Speaking to the media, Raosaheb Patil Danve stated that the railway projects have slightly been delayed due to Covid pandemic and issues in land acquisition.

The Minister clarified that there is no shortage of funds for the ongoing Railway projects in Manipur.
Raosaheb Patil Danve also assured that the ongoing Railway projects will be completed by mid 2023.He maintained that the main purpose of his visit to the State is to inspect the current status of the ongoing Jiribam-Imphal Railway project.
It may be mentioned that Chief Minister N Biren Singh, had on Sunday, stated the State Government is looking forward to complete the Jiribam-Khongsang railway line by December 2021 .
He also assured that all the disputes related to land compensation etc.
would be resolved soon.
