Imphal, July 27 2013 :
NDA Chairman and former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani has stated that the 14th Lok Sabha election is likely to be held ahead of the scheduled time.
Advani was speaking at a two-day national executive meeting of BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha which was opened today BJP headquarters, New Delhi.
Among others, the meeting was attended by former BJP president Bangaru Lax-man, spokesperson Dr Vijay Shanker Shastri, Scheduled Caste Morcha president Dr Sanjay Paswant and general secretary (organisation) Ram Lal.
BJP Manipur State unit was represented by general secretary (administration) Ashinikumar who is also in charge of the party's Scheduled Caste welfare and elec- tion cell convenor Kh Raghu-mani.
Addressing the gathering for almost 70 minutes, LK Advani exuded that BJP would certainly come out victorious in the five states which are scheduled to go to the polls in October this year.
He went on to claim that a BJP led Government would return to power at the Centre after the 14th Lok Sabha election.
Once BJP comes back to power, the Government would take up necessary mea-sures and policies for socio-economic upliftment of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and minorities.
India being a country where poor and underprivileged people constitute vast majority of the population, Scheduled Caste Morcha is a very important organ for BJP, Advani stated.
He also expressed his belief that the Scheduled Caste Morcha would take important roles in organising the party.
For the first time in the history of Indian democracy, the Congress led UPA Government has turned India into a country of scams and corruption, Advani asserted.
BJP is a party which sees no difference between different religions, castes or creeds.
It is a party which is really concerned for underprivileged people.
Dismissing Congress' propaganda of BJP being communal, the former Deputy Prime Minister called upon the Scheduled Caste Morcha to work with a sense of sacrifice under the party's ideology in order to bring about a revolution in the country.
