Protest staged demanding justice for weight lifter Khumukcham Sanjita

Imphal, June 27 2018: As justice still has not been delivered to the 2 times Gold Medallists of the Common Wealth Games, Khumukcham Sanjita Chanu even after nearly a month Proletarian Feminist Movement of Manipur and the JAC formed in connection with the demand today staged a sit-in-protest at Pechu Lampak of Thongju.

Khumukcham Sanjita Chanu was provisionally suspended by the Weight Lifting Federation India, after IWF report said that she was found using steroid in November 2017.As the test result sent to her through Whatsapp on May 24, 2018 showed that her sample No.collected for testing was No.159 90 00 while the result found positive of using steroid is the sample No.159 91 76, she protested as samples collected from players should have same numbers.

Proletarian Feminist Movement and the JAC later submitted a memorandum to the CM to intervene over the matter.
