Imphal, January 27 2023:
At least six student organisations have said that taking the War on Drugs campaign in Manipur to the National level is very much needed to control drug issues in India as the State is being used as a transit route to smuggle drugs to different parts of the country.
The student organisations also said that allocating more fund to the State to combat drug problems, focusing on the capacity building of all concerned, formulation of a strict law, giving capital punishment to drug lords and amendment of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act are are also imperative to check the drug issues of Manipur.
