161 more infected to take total to 9537

Imphal, September 24 2020:
Following detection of 161 fresh COVID-19 positive cases during the last 24 hours, the total number of positive cases has reached 9537 in the State.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, 161 people including 30 personnel of CAPF were tested positive during the last 24 hours at RIMS, JNIMS, Ukhrul, Kangpokpi, Mothers Care, Advance Hospital, Imphal Hospital, Babina Diagnostics, Raj Medicity, Imphal East, Thoubal, Kamjong, Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Kakching and Senapati.
Of the 131 civilians who have been tested positive, 33 belong to Imphal West, 34 to Imphal East, 16 to Thoubal, one to Kamjong, nine to Kakching, one to Senapati, eight to Ukhrul, seven to Bishnupur, one to Chandel and 21 to Churachandpur.
Out of them, 124 have no significant history of travelling outside the State.
In the meantime, 261 people were discharged during the last 24 hours from RIMS (2), CCC Kasom Khullen (1), RD Wing (6), CCC Lamding-Thoubal (10), CCC Lamboi Khongnangkhong (206), Ukhrul (2), CCC Thoubal (18) and CAPF (16) .
The cumulative figure of positive cases is 9537 (general population 7474, Central security personnel 2063).It includes 2106 active cases (general population 1759, Central security personnel 347) and 7369 discharged cases (general population 5656, Central security personnel 1713) .
The recovery rate has slightly improved to
77.26 per cent.
