Nearly 6 lakh vaccinated in Manipur

Since the start of the COVID-19 vaccination drive on January 16 till yesterday, 5,93,299 individuals have been administered Covid vaccines at Government facilities of Manipur.
The COVID-19 Common Control Room however put the total number of persons who have been vaccinated at 5,10,644.According to a report from the Health Department, 6,469 Covid doses were administered on Wednesday (June 23) alone by in 115 sessions in 16 districts of Manipur.
The source continued 5,10,644 individuals have been administered the 1st dose of the Covid vaccine while 82,655 have received the 2nd dose till 6 pm of June 23.Of those who received the 1st dose, 39,889 are healthcare workers while 1,00,427 are other frontline workers (FLWs), it said, and added that 24,939 healthcare workers and 50118 other FLWs have taken the 2nd dose of the Covid vaccine.

Saying that 1,21,024 civilians (not FLWs) in the 18-44 group have also been administered the 1st dose, the source in the Health Department maintained that only 9 individuals in this age group (18-44) have been fully vaccinated.
For the 45-59 age group, the number of people who have been administered the 1st and 2nd dose of Covid vaccine is 1,55,933 and 4,844 respectively according to the Government data.
In the 60+ age group, 9,33,71 have taken the 1st dose while 2,745 have received the 2nd dose of Covid vaccine till yesterday.
Combining all these groups, the number of people including healthcare workers and other FLWs at Government facilities stands at 5,93,299 .
The source continued that 8,289 sessions of Covid vaccination programme have been conducted successfully in the State till date since the start.
Till June 23, Imphal West administered the highest number of Covid doses (1,58,751 doses) and conducted the most Covid vaccination sessions (1603) while Imphal East stood in second place (1,25,832 doses administered in 1,123 sessions) .
The least vaccinated district in Manipur is Kamjong.
Till yesterday, the district had administered 5,146 doses across 152 sessions held.
