Mercury hits 39 Degrees

As the whole State of Manipur reels under the scorching heat, the border town of Moreh recorded 39.4 Celsius yesterday.
According to reports obtained from weather stations installed at different districts of Manipur, the maximum temperature recorded yesterday was 39.4� Celsius while the minimum temperature was 20.8 Celsius.
The border town of Moreh today recorded 38.09� Celsius and minimum temperature of 21.93 Celsius.
District-wise maximum temperatures recorded yesterday were Bishnupur 33.69� Celsius, Imphal East 35.55� Celsius, Imphal West 34.74� Celsius, Senapati 32.8� Celsius, Tamenglong 35.38 Celsius, Thoubal 34.97� Celsius and Ukhrul 26.64� Celsius.
Information received from ICAR Lamphelpet says that annual precipitation may be lower this year while the average temperature is likely to rise.
