Imphal, March 20 2012: * Implementation of 66 MW Loktak Downstream Hydro-Electric & 1500 MW Tipaimukh Multipurose Projects and Integrated Check Post at Moreh.

* Completion of project for augmentation of water supply for Imphal City with raw water from Thoubal Dam by leveraging, if possible, external sources of funding.

* Completion of the Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal Railway Line upto Imphal by 2016 and Jiribam-Tupul portion by 2014 .

* Upgradation of the NH-53 to double-lane by 2013 by the BRO.

* To complete construction of a Rail Fed Oil Depot at Malom and doubling capacity of LPG Bottling Plant from 600 MT to 1200 MT to maintain regular supply of petrol, diesel, kerosene and LPG.

* To set up an Information Technology Special Economic Zone (SEZ) to tap the available talent and create employment opportunities.

* Expansion and upgradation of Imphal Airport to International standard.

* Potential for Tourism will be exploited and basic infrastructure created for expanding employment avenues.

* Encourage participatory planning by devolving functions, functionaries and funds to Zilla Parishads, Gram Panchayats and Autonomous Districts Councils .
