Imphal, January 20 2013 :
With the re-opening of Imphal-Dimapur highway after an understanding was reached last night, movement of vehicles along the highway has resumed from this morning.
The highway remained blocked for the past four days following a road mishap involving a Manipur bound truck in which one person was killed and two others injured in the night of January 15 at Jakhama, Nagaland.
Even as a formal agreement was reached with the Government of Nagaland last night, Mao AC MLA L Dikho, officials of Nagaland, owner of the truck and representatives of the Southern Angami Public Organisation held another round of meeting this morning after which all the parties arrived at an understanding.
MLA Dikho told TSE that an agreement was reached after a meeting with the victim's family and representatives of Southern Angami Public Organisation this morning.
The truck which was seized by Jakhama police would also be released as the matter has been resolved, Dikho said.
