Letpao Haokip expresses concern over lack of basic amenities in Moreh

YAS and Water Resources Minister, Letpao Haokip on Saturday expressed his anguish over the lack of basic amenities including water, electricity and health-care facilities in Moreh.
The YAS Minister while addressing a Public Outreach Programme held at Galngam Lentol playground also cautioned the concerned department and work agencies to complete the construction of PMGSY roads in Moreh before March 2022.He assured the public that blacktopping of most of the roads in Moreh would be completed before the ensuing General election; install 250 KVA transformers in Gomnom veng, Mission veng, Phaicham Veng and Chavangphai veng; and construct a water testing lab in the area.
Letpao Haokip also announced that he would talk with the heads of IGAR South in regards to the restrictions imposed by the Assam Rifles on transportation of goods along Imphal-Moreh road.
"A Transit Hotel to accommodate the locals and officials working at Tengnoupal DHQ would also be constructed soon", he asserted.
The programme was attended by Education Minister Sorokhaibam Rajen; Agriculture Minister, Oinam Lukhoi; Deputy Speaker, Kongkham Robindro and Lilong AC MLA, Md Antas Khan.
40 stalls were also opened at the Outreach Programme under the supervision of District Administration Tengnoupal to provide the benefits of various schemes to the public.
Meanwhile, Letpao Haokip also inaugurated the Ima Kondong Lairembi Khubam Shanglen constructed under the Border Area Development Programme on Saturday at Moreh.
Speaking on the occasion, Letpao Haokip announced that he would provide necessary assistance to complete the construction of the Ima Kondong Lairembi guest house.
He also appealed to the people to promote peace & unity and move forward unitedly to bring development and progress in Moreh and the State as a whole.
The inaugural programme was attended by Ima Kondong Lairembi Thougal Lup president, N Pulindro; MCM president, M Thoiba; UCM former president, K Langamba and Chikim village chief, Jamkhogin Haokip.
