Imphal, July 17 2015 : The third death anniversary of former Chief Minister Wahengbam Nipamacha was observed today at his Wangoi residence under the aegis of the Senior Citizens for Society (SCS), Wangoi Chapter.

Former Wangoi A/C MLA Oinam Lukhoi, late Nipamacha's wife Wahengbam (O) Maipakpi, Wangoi Municipal Council Chairperson Khaidem Bala, Councillors W Ashalata and Longjam Brojen attended the gathering as presidium members.

Customary rituals and offering of floral tributes at the former Chief Minister's tomb were the main features of the death anniversary function.

Speaking on the occasion, O Lukhoi pledged that he will leave no stone unturned in his quest to fulfil the aspirations of the late Chief Minister.

He said that he would work for the welfare of the people of Wangoi A/C in the capacity of an MLA or as a common man.

SCS Wangoi Chapter member Khuraijam Sarat also spoke about late W Nipamacha.

He reminded that SCS Wangoi Chapter was set up under the initiative of Nipamacha thereby providing a common platform for senior citizens of the area.

W Nipamacha who was born on December 17, 1930 breathed his last on July 17, 2012 .
