Governor PB Acharya holds interactive meeting with students' and organisations of Manipur in Delhi

New Delhi, July 16 2019:
Governor of Nagaland & Manipur, P B Acharya held an interactive meeting with various students' unions and members of various organisations of Manipur at Manipur Bhavan, Sardar Patel Marg, Chanakyapuri on July 14 .
While appreciating the leaders of different organisations, he emphasised the need to have one federal organisation which can represent Manipur as a whole.
Governor stated that students studying outside the state are the real ambassadors of the state and its culture.
He stressed that one should have a profession for earning livelihood and social work should not be considered as a profession.
Students who are doing research work should focus on social issues pertaining to their own state rather than merely selecting a topic for the research work.

Research work should be made applicable to the society.
He further encouraged the youngsters who are empowered with knowledge to work for strengthening the State and Country.
Students when they come out of Universities/Colleges should not only be employable but should also become job givers.
Governor said that the North East is blessed with natural resources which need to be properly tapped to make our State and Country economically strong.
Participants were asked to organise meetings/functions once in every three months wherein local people from Delhi are to be invited to get to know each other and also to build up a fellowship among the members.
We should change our mindset to make our state and country economically developed and peaceful.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Resident Commissioner of Manipur Bhavan, New Delhi, Ngathingshim, MCS.
