Hollywood movie techies, Zubin to work in Lancha's new venture 'Pal'

One of the craftsmasters in the art of film making in the State, Ningthouja Lancha has embarked on a new venture to make a multi-lingual social cinema christened 'Pal' (barrier) to capture movie markets in North East and even abroad.
Significantly the songs of the film in Assamese will be taken care of by noted Assamese singer and composer Jubin Garg, said Lancha.
Another cap in his challenging venture is the joining of two Manipuri youths who worked as technicians in some Hollywood movies in Pal's technical team of 'Pal' .
"Robindro is a production designer, while Thou Mangang is a visual graphic supervisor and both of them were behind some Hollywood movies including 'The Host," said Lancha whose full length flick 'Mami Sami' won critical acclaims when it was released some years back.

On Monday, the launching ceremony of 'Pal' (barrier) was held in a typical style at the NT Theater complex in Imphal.
The theme song of the film, produced by Sunita K, was also presented by a lady singer.
"Pal is a Manipuri musical cinema and it focuses on the dilemma of a former rebel who has also got an MBBS degree.
The will be dubbed in many languages � Assamese, Khashi and Bengali etc," said Lancha.
He said Jubin has agreed to supervise all Assamese songs to be incorporated in the film (Assamese dubbing).
"My target is to expand the film market across the North East and even abroad including South East Asian countries.
The orientalism we have in our social life is a good point to give another taste to these countries," Lancha said .
"Another attempt of Pal is bring about a settlement of Manipuri movie in the State and make it a demanding commodity of the ambitious 'Look East Policy' considering the location of the State which is also known as the gate way to South East Asian Nations," said the film maker.
Lancha said shooting of the film will kick off from February 4 next year and the location will be fixed both indoors and outdoors in the State.
The main protagonists of the film will be Hamom Sadananda and Hijam Bala, two leading film actors in the State.
