Already, Trinamool Congress State unit has been conducting a departmental enquiry into their anti-party activities but the party's high command has collected all the relevant documents and started fresh enquiry against them.
As the six MLAs have been suspended from the primary membership of MPTC, it is up to the Assembly Speaker whether they should be retained as unattached Members or disqualification proceedings should be initiated.
AITC general secretary Mukul Roy issued an order on June 2 by which MLA Th Shyamkumar was appointed president of MPTC which is a unit of AITC.
On the other hand, MLA Joykisan who was elected party president with the support of five MLAs earlier declared that Shyamkumar had been expelled from the party's primary membership.
Shyamkumar countered the move by serving show cause notices to the six MLAs for their anti-party activities.
