KNF decries Koubru Leikha blast

Imphal, December 10 2012: The Kuki National Front (KNF), a SoO signatory under UPF has registered strong condemnation over the Koubru Leikha blast on Sunday, terming it an act to destroy peaceful environment of the area.

While speaking to media persons at Camp Ebenezer today, Information and Publicity Secretary LH Stephen of KNF said that the general public in the area are peace loving people.

The blast was an attempt to disturb the peaceful mindset of the people and derail the ongoing peace process between Kuki UGs and the Government.

This is not appreciated by the organization.

Stephen further said that the organization will not tolerate any such barbaric act that can disturb the peaceful environment and the peace loving general public in the future and urge all concerned not to support and lend a helping hand to any organization or individual carrying out such act in the area.

The Information and Publicity Secretary lauded and appreciated the co-operation of the general public and the security forces particularly the 43 Assam Rifles for their swift and timely action in apprehending the culprits before could they escaped and urged all to cooperate and continue to work for the welfare of people.
