Imphal, April 07 2019: CPI candidate in Inner Manipur PC Dr Moirangthem Nara has categorically stated that the ensuing Lok Sabha election is a battle between justice seekers and wrongdoers.

The flag hoisting ceremony of Dr Nara was held at his Singjamei Thongam Leikai residence today.

Speaking at the gathering, Dr Nara said that the ensuing election is the perfect opportunity to throw out the BJP Government which has been challenging the country's Constitution.

He appealed to all the people to stand on the side of truth in order to protect human rights and freedom of expression.

Asking if any of the myriad promises made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been fulfilled, the CPI candidate said that Narendra Modi has been hoodwinking the masses by making impressive but empty promises.

Even though BJP made ship Amendment Bill (CAB) 2016 passed in the Rajya Sabha, the Bill could not be tabled in the Rajya Sabha in the face of vehement opposition raised by all sections of society in the entire North East.

Yet BJP has announced on public platforms that they would bring back CAB 2016 if the party is re-elected to power.

On the other hand, CPI has been opposing the Bill tooth and nail.

Given these facts, people need to ponder over who should be elected to the Lok Sabha from the State, Dr Nara said.
