The strange lizard which resembles the mythical dragonLamka, Jun 4: A strange Lizard suspected to belong to a rare species that are native of Indonesia, the Mythical Dragon or the Komodo Dragon was captured by locals working in a motor workshop located near a stream here on Thursday.
The lizard about 2 ft in length and resembling the largest living species of lizard, Komo Dragon on its skin, paws and tongue appears to be aggressive in nature when The Sangai Express captured its images today.
Its custodian said they fed the strange lizard with meat, fish, insects and Chameleons.
With an extended tongue separated on the tip as is the case for snakes, the lizard appears to sense things with it.

He also claimed that the lizard he captured was an infant as he was told by some locals about their sightings of similar lizard, much bigger in size and faster in movement moving around the Lanva rivulet with just two of the rear foot on ground.
The sightings could not be confirmed but if the claims were true and the lizard indeed was the mythical dragon the state will definitely make it in the global map and residents have be cautious as the species is said to have lived on animals that are even bigger than themselves and known to have attacked humans though they prefer not to eat them.
