Kohima, September 03 2016:
The NSCN(IM), over the last few months, is holding a series of consultative meetings with Naga tribal bodies to seek their support and cooperation.
Leaders from NSCN(IM) and its frontal organizations are travelling to Naga-inhabited areas and meeting the tribal bodies.
As part of the campaign, National Socialist Women's Organization of Nagalim (NSWON), the women's wing of NSCN(IM), held a coordination meeting with the Angami Women's Organization (AWO) last Tuesday under the theme 'Strengthening of Relationship' in Kohima.
NSWON adviser Ikhres Muivah, wife of NSCN (I-M) general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah, has appealed to all Nagas to unite, forgive and bury all the differences.
She said Nagaland being a Christian State, everyone needs to work together instead of categorizing the factions.
NSWON adviser Eustar Chishi Swu, wife of late Isak Chishi Swu, the outfit's chairman, reminded all that the Angami community had played a big role by taking the lead.
"Till today, the legacy and principles of the elders and leaders are being followed," she said.
Keeping this in mind, NSWON had set its priority to meet the Angami womenfolk first and meet other tribal women organizations subsequently.
She appealed to all to unite for the greater cause of the Nagas.
A team of NSCN(IM) led by K Chawang, convenor, Cease Fire Monitoring Cell (CFMC), met representatives of Rengma Hoho (Rengma council) and its frontal organizations and held a consultative meet on Naga political talks at Tseminyu town in Kohima district recently.
The meeting discussed the ongoing political issue and the necessity to settle the Naga issue.
The Rengma Hoho reminded NSCN(IM) to 'honour and protect' the interest of the Nagas in the final settlement and appealed to the negotiating team to take into account all stakeholders and sections of society.
It urged the outfit to fulfil the desires of the people for inclusiveness in the final settlement.
In July, an NSCN(IM) team led by senior leader Rh Raising held a meeting with the Ao community at Sungratsu village, Mokokchung district.
