The Upendra Commission probing the June 18 incident said the July 20 event may begin its formal hearings from the second week of September as written affidavits have been submitted before the Commission.
The police have filed its written affidavits today.
The Government has also filed its affidavits on both the incidents.
Family members of the victims have also filed their affidavits and MLA Paonam Achou has also done the same in connection with the torching of his official bungalow.
However, AMUCO, AMSU and others are yet to submit their affidavits, said sources.
If the remaining affidavits are filed by September 5, the last date set by the Commission for submission of affidavits, and then the Commission will start its formal hearing from the second week of this month, according to sources.
CRPF authorities may also submit its affidavits by September 5, said well places sources.
An advocate identified as Kapil Sankhla who is with Delhi based firm, SK Sharma and Co Advocates has arrived at Imphal to assist the CRPF.
Another Supreme Court lawyer may also assist the CRPF.
Several people have expressed that the room where the hearing will be conducted is too congested.
The hearing is proposed to be conducted in a room at the Ministerial Block, Secretariat.
Meanwhile, Justice JN Sharma and the Register of the Principal seat of the Gauhati High Court, Upadhayay along with the Register of the Imphal bench, M Binoykumar inspected the owner courts at Cheirap Court complex, Uripok and Lamphel.
