Thoubal, October 29 2016: Thoubal District Police has arrested one over ground worker of KYKL and one active member of NSCN-IM from different locations today.

According to a reliable information, a team of Thoubal District Police under the supervision of N Modhunimai, Additional SP, Operation, Thoubal, led by Inspector P Achouba, OC, Thoubal District Commando, carried out search operations at two different locations today.

In the early raid, the team arrested one overground worker of KYKL identified as Kangabam Sunder (42), s/o (L) K Bheigya of Thiyam Konjil Awang Leikai.

Sunder revealed that he is working under the command of s/s Lieutenant Raghunath of Kykl and has served monetary demand of Rs 1 lakh each to three different Pradhans of Imphal East.

One Honda Activa (registration No.MN-01L-/4433), grey in colour, and a mobile handset were seized from his possession.

The apprehendee has been handed over to Thoubal police station along with the seized items.

A case under has been registered at Thoubal police station.

Later, the same team, at around 11 am, arrested one NSCN �IM cadre identified as Khaling Moshang, 25, s/o Kh Shanginshang of Khoibu Centre, Kakching Lamkhai.

Khaling Moshang revealed that he collected money from dice games in the name of NSCN-IM, sources said.

The arrested NSCN-IM cadre has been handed over to Kakching police station for necessary legal action.
