'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign held

Kak/Tbl, September 29 2019: District Water and Sanitation Committee, Kakching in association with Hiyanglam Gram Panchayat organized Marathon cum tree plantation drive under "Swachhata Hi Seva" campaign carrying the message of stop using single use plastic for green earth was held at Hiyanglam in Kakching District on Sep 27 .

The marathon race, which carries the message to stop using single use plastic, stop burning of plastic wastes, dispose plastic to safe place, was flagged off from Hiyanglam Wabagai Lamkhai market by Hiyanglam GP pradhan Elangbam Shantibala in the presence of brand ambassador of Green Manipur Mission, Valentina Elangbam.

The race culminated at Hiyanglam Hiranmei.

Regarding the campaign, Dorendra Rajkumar, EE PHED Kakching said that various activities were held at different of Kakching under the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' programme which will be held from September 11 till October 2 .

THOUBAL: The District Administration, Thoubal has organised a cleanliness drive in all the offices located in and outside the DC Complex as a part of Swachata Hi Seva today in the presence of Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal N Bandana.

The cleanliness drive was also conducted in all the police stations including the SP office Thoubal under the supervision of SP, Thoubal Dr S Ibomcha Singh.

During the cleanliness drive, plastic wastes were collected and put in a proper place to be collected by the National Highway construction authority.
