Imphal, June 29 2016:
In what can be termed as another humanitar-
ian initiative of JNIMS, medical treatment of 7-year old boy
Khumanthem Santosh who is suffering from congenital bilateral
inguinal hernia is underway.
Santosh's mother Khumanthem Itobi said that his son was
detected with an inguinal hernia some years back.
However,
the family could not afford to take him to the doctor due to
financial problem.
Under the advice of his son's school teacher RK Indrani,
she took her son to JNIMS for medical check-up.
RK Indrani, a teacher of Kanto Tolmu Primary School who
had accompanied Santosh and her mother to JNIMS said that
Santosh has been facing health problem due to swelling in the
groin.
JNIMS Director Prof Deben Laishram informed that
Santosh was brought to JNIMS on June 27.Santosh's teacher
RK Indrani had first visited JNIMS some days back to seek
information regarding the treatment.
Director Prof Deben stated that JNIMS has been exten-
sively providing medical treatement to the needy patients in a
best way possible.
"We have been upholding the main objec-
tive of health care services and we will continue to work
towards it.
Alleging JNIMS medical staff members of neglect-
ing to discharge medical services efficiently is unfortunate.
However, we will show with our selfless services that the
allegation is not true," Prof Deben Laishram said.
