Screening centre to shut down from today

Thoubal, August 28 2020: The District Screening Centre for COVID-19 opened at Lilong Haoreibi College will be shut down and shifted to District Sports Complex, Kodompokpi from August 29, said an order issued by Thoubal district Deputy Commissioner, N Bandana Devi today.

Further, all the community quarantine centres run by MLAs will be shut down immediately.

However, the quarantine centre at District Sports Complex, Kodompokpi will be converted into transit quarantine centre.

All returnees shall report to the newly opened District Screening Centre at Kodompokpi sports complex.

The returnees will be tested immediately for COVID-19 and those who are found negative will be allowed to go for home quarantine with advice to preventive measures related to COVID-19 .

Chief Medical Officer, Thoubal shall make the necessary arrangement to ensure immediate testing of the returnees at Kodompokpi sports complex, said the order.

Meanwhile, areas of Yairipok Kekru, Wangkhem AC in Thoubal have been declared as containment zones after six residents tested COVID-19 positive.
