Senapati, October 27 2019:
Poumai Naga Union (PNU), in a statement, informed that a consultative meeting was held on October 26 in the presence of all the Poumai organisations and public leaders at PNU office complex, Senapati DHQ.
The meeting deliberated on the emerging situations pertinent to the Indo-Naga peace process and reaffirmed its support to the collective leadership and the demand of the Naga people for a separate Naga national flag and Constitution as the identity and the statutes of the Naga people.
PNU appealed the negotiating team to work out for a final settlement on the basis of the historic Framework Agreement signed by the GoI and the NSCN (IM) as two entities inclusive of entire Naga inhabited areas to usher in an enduring inclusive new relationship of peaceful coexistence between India and Nagas.
PNU reasoned that the Naga people have suffered for more than 70 years of conflict and deeply long for a lasting peaceful settlement which is honourable, respectable and acceptable.
