Miraculous escape of child girl from jaws of death

Imphal, August 27 2014:
In an unfortunate accident, a Tata Sumo jeep carrying around 9 passengers including the driver skidded and fell into an 80 feet deep gorge near Leikhalam village along Khoupum road under Nungba sub division of Tamenglong district and killed one passenger and left at least six others injured.
In a miraculous escape, one of the passengers, a one-year old girl identified as Neichaihai, d/o Lhingkham was found unhurt sitting between two rocks after fell into the deep gorge.
According to reports, the Tata Sumo jeep which was coming towards Bishnupur from Zoujangtek village lost control and it plunged into the gorge.
Lunkhogin Haokip, (60), s/o (L) Haojahen from Zoujangtek who was severely injured in the accident succumbed to his injuries while rescue workers were on their way to rush him to Bishnupur for medical emergency.
At least six other injured passengers have been identified as Lhingchin, (36), w/o Zangam, Lhingneikim, (43), w/o Songin, Ngaimong, (60), w/o (L) Shantikumar, the driver of the Tata Sumo jeep Henkholen, (60), s/o Khupthang, Ngulgin, (45), s/o Zamnoh and an IRB Personnel.
All the injured are from Zoujangtek village and they have been admitted to RIMS here for medical attention.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam visited the injured persons at RIMS and extended financial help to them.
