Thoubal, July 27 2020: In wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and with an objective to mitigate the spread of the disease, Youth Development Club Heirok Part-III Litan Wangma today conducted a disinfection drive in and around the said area.

Sodium Hypochlorite solution were spread by the volunteers of the club during the drive, reports our correspondent.

In the meantime, Sawombung Zilla Parishad Member, Irungbam Rabichandra from and Ward Member Koijam Sunder have led a sanitization drive conducted by Sawombung Student's Club at the Sawombung area announced as a containment zone today.

Pradhan of Waiton Gram Panchayat, Pukhrambam Surbala Devi and Ward Member Kongjengbam Tababi Devi also jointly conducted a sanitization drive as a precautionary measure against COVID-19 apart from extending monetary aid and eatables to Sawombung Student's Club, said a statement of the club.
