Fellows, award winners of MSKA announced

The names of fellows and award winners of Manipur State Kala Akademi (MSKA) for the year 2011 have been announced.
While RK Jhalajit Singh and Aribam Syam Sharma have been selected for the fellows and names of the awardees in different fields include Thokchom Ibemubi Devi (dance), Moirangthem Praneshwori Devi (dance), Pukhrambam Dhanjit Singh (dance) Ninthoujam Itomcha Singh (music), Lourembam Bedabati Devi (music), Bachaspatimayum Jayantakumar Sharma (music), SK Mangang (theatre), Hijam Shyam Singh alias Shyamdhoni (theatre), Mangsatabam Ningthem (Shumang Leela), Haorongbam Bishwarup Singh (Thang-Ta), Haobijam Amutombi Singh (Wari Leela), Dr Yumbam Sadananda (Mime), Newmai Hungshi (Tribal culture) and Lungpuiga Remei( tribal culture) .
For the Young Talent Awards, Pukhrambam Bilash Singh in dance, Konsam Shanta Singh in music, Bachaspatimayum Sobita Devi in theatre, Gurumayum Biseshwor Sharma in Thang-Ta, Wahengbam Chinglen Singh in Wari Leeba and Oshim Sowung in tribal culture have been selected.
While Prof Jodha C Sanasam has been selected for the Akademi Award for Literature (Creative Work) for his Sahitya Akademi award winning novel 'Mathou Kanba DNA, Prof Polem Nabachandra would be receiving the Akademi award for Literature (Critical work) for his critical essay, 'Ariba Manipuri Sahityagi Saklon' .
Prof Thounaojam Ratankumar has also been selected for the Akademi Awards for Literature (Translation) for his work 'The Taste of a Hilsa and other stories, translated into English from Manipuri.
Moreover, for the Akademi awards for Fine Arts for the year 2011, Robin Wahengbam and Ngamkholen Haokip for their respective artworks, 'The Wait' (painting in acrylic medium and 'Traditional Tune' (sculpture in bronze) .
