Parliamentary Secy pledges to deliver

Parliamentary Secretary for MOBC & SC and Science & Technology Md Amin Shah has pledged to contribute his mite for the overall development of the Muslim community.
Addressing a solemn felicitation function hosted by WAKf Board, Manipur on his recent appointment as the Parliamentary Secretary, the Kshetrigao AC legislator asserted that he would do his best to satisfy what exactly the people expect from him.
Conveying gratitude to the Chief Minister for including him as one of the Parliamentary Secretaries and providing him the opportunity to assist the CM in executing works related to the welfare of the minorities, Amin Shah also emphasised on strengthening the State Wakf Board for effectively administration and uphold interest of the minorities.
Suggesting that members of the Board convene a special meeting to discuss all pending issues of the board with him, the MLA assured that the State Wakf Board need not have any apprehension about shortage of fund as sufficient fund would be provided to the Board.
He, however, strongly advised that funds must be utilised properly for development of Wakf Institutions and for the destitute people.
The felicitation programme held yesterday afternoon at the conference hall of the State Wakf Board, Minuthong Hatta, Imphal East district was also attended by the Chairperson of Manipur State Minorities Commission A.Halim Chowdhury, IAS (Retd) and Wakf Board Member Dr Maniruddin Sheikh.
Speaking at the occasion, Halim Chowdhury expressed deep gratitude to the State Government particularly, the Chief Minister of Manipur for appointing a right person at the right time as the Parliamentary Secretary to look after the charge of MOBC & SC .
Highlighting, selfless and relentless service rendered by Amin shah's father (Late) Md Muhamuddin Shah for the welfare of the people of the State and particularly for the backward minorities, he urged Md Amin Shah to be sincere and follow the path shown by his father with full dedication.
He emphasised that Md Amin Shah, who has now become an MLA and taken the charge of the Parliamentary Secretary for MOBC & SC, should fulfil desire and expectation of the people by extending full cooperation to the State Minorities Commission in protecting and safeguarding the rights of the minorities.
Halim Choudhury further said that the Commission has undertaken review and monitoring of all schemes related to the welfare of minorities including Modernisation of Madrassa Scheme which is being implemented by the State Wakf Board.
As functional president, Dr Maniruddin conveyed disappointment on some irregularities in the implementation of the Madrassa Modernization Scheme and appealed to the general public to extend cooperation in ensuring smooth functioning of the State Wakf Board more particularly in the implementation of the Scheme of Madrassa Modernization.
