State government should make it clear to Centre on 'alternative arrangement': RB Koijam

State government should made it clear with the Centre about the 'alternative arrangement' in the proposal of UNC in the ensuing tripartite talk which is to be held between the Government of India, Manipur Government and UNC, said MLA Radhabinod Koijam today.
Speaking in a meritorious students' award distribution function held Ima Ibemma Khunthokhanbi Shanglen organised by the Thangmeiband Kendra Development Committtee, Radhabinod said that UNC is talking about an alternative arrangement in its proposal which raised many doubts regarding the integrity of the state.
Chief Minister Okram Ibobi should made it clear with the Centre on the issue before the talk begins.
If the proposal was about various development works to be taken up in remote hill areas then it is acceptable to all.
However if any proposal threaten the territorial and political integrity of the state, then the state government should made its stand against the proposal, he said.
He said that human resource is the man resource for a developed society.
It is very important to produce meritorious students to make Manipur a developed state.
Role of teachers is very important in producing good students.
He urged the teachers to do their duties sincerely.
He said that he is planning to construct a Health Care and Fitness Centre in the campus of THAU ground.
Foundation was already laid for the centre.
People above 50 years need exercise to remain fit and healthy.
The centre will become a place for exercise for elder people after the construction has completed.
President, Thangmeiband Kendra Development Committee Chanambam Dinachandra presided over the function.
Retired Director Co-Op Society Mahabir, MEELAL president Naodalenkhomba and retired SDO Chourajit are among others who attended the function as guests of honour.
