Imphal, February 26 2020: Reacting to the DESAM's claim that the identity of the 'whistleblower' in the Class XI examination question leakage scam was disclosed, Cyber Crime Police Station (CCPS) has clarified that there is no whistleblower in the case.

The investigation was carried out on the basis of a written report submitted by the Secretary, Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) on February 20.During investigation, one person identified as Moirangthem Sunderchand of Kyamgei Mamang Leikai, management staff of Dineshwori Higher Secondary School Canchipur was arrested in the evening of February 22, as a result of the 'sincere efforts and investigative skills' of the officers of CCPS, CID (CB), Manipur.

No tip-off was shared to CCPS by anybody regarding the person(s) responsible for leaking the question papers, said CCPS.
