Results for TET Meetei Mayek out

The results of the first ever TET for Meetei Mayek which was conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BSEM) on April 28 were declared today showing a pass percentage of 65.64 percent.
Addressing media persons on the occasion of releasing the results at the conference hall of Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (CoHSEM) Sarangjit Khundrakpam, the newly appointed Secretary of the Council, pointd out that Meetei Mayek has been included in the school syllabus of class I and II since 2006 and now the level has reached class IX.
The students of class X will be appearing in Matric exam in Meetei Mayek as the main subject from 2015 onwards.
Prior to this development, the TET for Meetei Mayek has been conducted considering the need to have teachers for Meetei Mayek and this is indeed a dream come true for Meetei Mayek.

He further said that this auspicious day will become a very memorable and historical one for the State of Manipur.
All credit goes to MEELAL for initiating the move and the Chief Minister and Education Minister for their concern in this regard.
The Secretary of CoHSEM informed that altogether 6034 candidates have appeared in the TET which was conducted in 22 centres.
Out of the total 6038 candidates, 3961 cleared the exam with a pass percentage of 65.64 percent.
The certificates of the TET for Meetei Mayek will be issued after seven days.
Sadokpam Tomba, President of MEELAL, who was also present on the occasion, congratulated the successful candidates and said that they would be playing a great role in developing Meetei Mayek further.
He also said that MEELAL would be pressin the State Government to conduct Proficiency Test for Meetei Mayek and the second TET for Meetei Mayek very soon.
The members of the Sub-Committee, which was formed for ensuring smooth conduct of TET for Meetei Mayek, the Head Examiner and the Assistant Head Examiner were felicitated with Certificate of Honour on the occasion.
Babudhon Sapamcha, Joint Secretary, Academic and Th Ranbir, Joint Secretary, Administration were also present on the occasion.
