Imphal, May 25 2021: An asymptomatic Covid positive man has gone missing from Covid Care Centre at RD Wing, Lamphelpat since today morning.

The man identified as Chesam Feroz (35), of Laipham Khelakhong Mayang Imphal was admitted at the centre on May 24 .

He was asymptomatic when admitted.

He was found missing with all his belongings from his room at around 7.45 am today, said a letter from the Medical Officer in-charge of the Covid Care Centre to the Director, Social Welfare Department.

Some of the patients at the centre saw him wandering on the corridor at mid-night.

His phone has been found switched off, said the letter.

According to unofficial report, the said man was detained by some people of Khelakhong and information has been given to the police.

There is however no official report on this.
