Christmas greetings from Governor and CM

Governor of Manipur and Nagaland Dr Ashwani Kumar and Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh have led the rest in conveying greetings to the people of the State especially the Christian brethrens on the occasion of Christmas which is being celebrated world-wide tomorrow including Manipur.
In his message, the Governor observed that Christmas is celebrated across the globe as the birthday of Lord Jesus by all people cutting cross religion, caste and creed.
Lord Jesus an apostle of peace, preached for a new world order based on justice, humility and equality of Manipur.
While paying our obeisance to this Son of God, on the occasion of Christmas, let us rededicate ourselves to the ideals propounded by Him so that peace prevails in this trouble torn world.
Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, while greeting the people, noted that the festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ is an occasion to celebrate and imbibe the Lord Jesus Christ's message of love compassion and forgiveness.
"May the Christmas bells dispell the hatred and violence, and spread the message of love, trust and compassion amongst all the communities in the State to usher in happiness, peace and prosperity for all.
Speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly Th Lokeshwar Singh, Deputy Speaker Preshow Shimray, Lok Sabha MP Dr Meinya, Chairman of Hill Area Committee (HAC) Dr Chaltonlien Amo and President of BJP Manipur Pradesh Th Chaoba Singh have also greeted the Christian community of the State on the joyous occasion of Christmas.
Major General Rajeev Chopra, IG AR (South) and All Ranks of Assam Rifles have also extended warm greeting and sincere goodwill to the people of Manipur on the occasion of Christmas.
In his messafe, IG AR (South) said that Christmas is a time of great joy, cheer, hope and happiness.
It proclaims Lord Jesus Christ's message of love, sacrifice and forgiveness, compassion and service, courage and humility, peace and harmony.
"We pray to Almighty to keep a benevolent eye on the people of Manipur to bring peace, prosperity and tranquility in the days ahead", the IG AR (S) added.
Extending warm greetings to the people of the State especially the Christian brethrens, United People's Front (UPF), Manipur has prayed for peaceful co-existence and unity amongst the different communities with the arrival of the festival.
The Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) and Pangal Students' Organization (PSO) have extended warm greetings to people of the State especially Christian brethren on the occasion of of Christmas celebration.
It is also said that teams of MSF and PSO would also be visiting several places to take part in celebration of the festival in the interest of promoting peaceful co-existence amongst all the different communities in the State.
