Many civil society organisations, Meira Paibi organisations, political parties, student bodies, etc.
have been pouring the media houses in Imphal with press releases demanding to know the whereabouts of the Chairman of United National Liberation Front (UNLF), RK Sana Yaima @ Meghen, who has reportedly been arrested by combined intelligence team of Bangladesh and India on September 29 last.
United Peoples' Administrative Council (UPACO), Wabagai Lamkhai bazar, Thoubal district, Manipur Peace & Integrity (MAPI) Council, Imphal, Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress, All Manipur Women's Social Reformation and Development Samaj, Maharabi Branch, Nongchup Imphal Loumee Sinmee Chaokhat Thourang Lup, Awangkhunou Khoyum Sabal, Imphal West, National Identity Protection Committee (NIPCO), All Manipur Tammi-Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup, Takyel, Nongchup Imphal Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (NIMPAL), Lansonbi bazar, Eereipak Enaat Chanura Loinsinlon (EECHAL), Yaiskul, Thoubal District United Women's Development Organisation, Thoubal, Man League, Manipur, All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU), Apunba Nupi Lup Lumlangdong (ANUL), Bishnupur district, United Committee Manipur, Imphal, etc.
have demanded to know the whereabouts of UNLF's Chairman RK Meghen.
All the organisations expressed serious concern over the unknown whereabouts of RK Meghen and also expressed serious doubt on the sincerity of the Government of India when it comes to solving the insurgency problem in the North East.
The press releases said that lawful actions should be taken openly against the underground leader and warned of serious consequences in the event of forced disappear of RK Meghen.
